WHEREAS, by Resolution #71-25 as amended by Resolution
#71-28, the City Council approved the execution of a certain
contract in order to provide fire protection for the City of
Tamarac beginning with the 15th day of April, 1971, and
WHEREAS, such contract was entered into under Resolution
#71-25 with North Andrews Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. and
with Bailey Road Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., but was not
entered into under Resolution #71-28 with Subdistrict #10 and
Subdistrict #8 , respectively, of the Broward County Fire
Control Commission, and
WHEREAS, The BROWARD COUNTY FIRE CONTROL COMMISSION
has refused to permit use of Sub -district equipment in the
absence of a contract with the Sub -districts,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized
to either execute a contract with the Sub -districts or the
volunteer fire departments so long as the contract is in the
form approved by the City and so long as it is approved by either
the volunteer fire departments or the Sub -districts involved.
