RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE CITY
OF TAMARAC FOR THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR SUBJECT
TO ADOPTION OF NECESSARY TAXES TO FUND SUCH
BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the former City Manager, R. H. DECKER, pre-
sented a budget message containing a proposed budget, and
WHEREAS, the Council has published a summary of such
budget and notice of public hearing thereon and has made copies
thereof available for inspection by the public, all as required
by the City Charter, and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held thereon and the
Council has deemed such proposed budget to be inadequate and
improper in form and substance and has amended such proposed
budget by adopting in lieu thereof a budget prepared by the
city is Auditors, Planes and Burkett, P.A., C.P.A.'s, as amended
at such public hearing, and
WHEREAS, a referendum election is being held on September 212
1971 to determine whether the electors of the City wish to fund
such budget through ad valorem taxes rather than through a tax
on public services and it is essential that the public be aware
of the contemplated amount of millage needed to fund the budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the
City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the amended budget prepared by Planes
and Burkett, P.A. be adopted as amended at public hearing
subject to sufficient funding as required by City Charter.
The final adoption of the budget shall be at a special meeting
of the Council on September , 1971 at which time sufficient
taxes shall be imposed to fund said budget.
