RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
AND CITY ATTORNEY TO APPROVE THE INSTALLATION
OF A TRAFFIC LIGHT ON DIAL BOULEVARD
BY BROWARD COUNTY, WITH. THE EXPENSE_UiEREOF TO.
BE INDEMNIFIED BY THE SABLE PALM'GOLF'CLUB.
WHEREAS, the Sable Palm Golf Club has requested and agreed
to pay for a traffic signal on Cam ercial Boulevard to enable
golfers, to cross the street in safety, and
WHEREAS, the Council deems an emergency to exist because of
the danger to life and because of the imminent opening of the
turnpike interchange and overpass, and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recarnTeided the type and
location of installation to be made and thecostthereof has not
been determined with certainty.,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of
Tamarac:
SECTION 1: The City Council approves the installation of
a traffic signal on Cc mercial Boulevard at & (4), SQ 1* AW N #4 �
subject to the obtaining by the City Manager and the City Attorney
of the indemnification agreement from Sable Palm. Golf Club
together with.a cashiers check payable to the City of Tamarac
sufficient to cover the entire cost of such installation.
SECTION 2: That upon receipt of such approval of the City
Manager and the City Attorney the Mayor and City Manager are
authorized to execute all documents necessary to procure the
installation of such traffic signal without further action by
the Council.

1971.
