RESOLUTION NO
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT' OF PREMIUMS
FOR GROUP LIFE AND GROUP HEALTH. INSURANCE FOR
OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC.
WHEREAS, Section 11 z of the Charter of the City of Tamarac
authorizes the City to provide for group insurance for the officers
and employees of the City of Tamarac and requires that the Council
determine by resolution the portion of such premium to be paid by
the City, and
WHEREAS, the Council has advertised for bids for such insurance
and has awarded the contract to the only bidder, BANKERS LIFE CO.,
Des Moines, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City for the City to provide such protection for
its officers and employees and to pay the entire premium therefor,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SECTION 1: That the City shall pay the entire premium for
group life insurance for its officers and employees and for hospital-
ization and medical benefits for its officers and employees and their
dependants in accordance with the bid of BANKERS LIFE CO., as
follows:
1. Life Insurance $ 4,798.92
2. Medical Benefits $25,395.96
TOTAL $330,194 88-
SECTION 2 That such plan being renewable from year to year
this resolution authorizes the continued payment in full of such
premium, as the same may be a budgeted and billed in subsequent
years, unless further action is taken by the Council to the contrary.
