CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. --
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS TO INSTALL A TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICE AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROCK ISLAND
ROAD AND COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD; AND, APPRO-
PRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County,
Florida, has indicated that they will install a traffic control de-
vice at the intersection of Rock Island Road and Commercial Boulevard
at the expense of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has indicated the traffic
conditions at such intersection urgently require the installation of
such device and a traffic study made by Broward County has established
the necessity of such device, and
WHEREAS, the entire intersection is within the municipal boun-
11 daries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, there will be sufficient funds in Account No. 466.63
of the 1972-73 Fiscal Year Budget from which to pay for such device
and such budget has been approved and adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the Board of County Commissioners, Broward
County, Florida, be and they are hereby authorized to install a
traffic control device at the intersection of Rock Island Road and
Commercial Boulevard.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to pay Broward County for the City's share of the costs
of such installation, within the budget limitations of the City.
