RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, The Broward County Transportation Authority has
reduced bus fares to twenty cents (.20�), and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac believes
that such action will increase the use.of public transportation,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of
Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the City of Tamarac expresses to the Broward
County Transportation Authority its strong approval. :for the action
taken by the Broward County. Transportation Authority in reducing
bus fares in order to increase the use of public transportation
and alleviate the overcrowding of public roads and highways.
SECTION 2: That the City Council expresses its grateful
thanks to the Broward County Transportation Authority for its
reconsideration of the needs of the citizens of Tamarac resulting
in the reinstitution of bus service throughout the City.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this_agday of
