CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR
PORTABLE DIESEL ELECTRIC GENERATOR
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore advertised for
bids for a portable diesel electric generator and has re-
ceived bids; and,
WHEREAS, the Council is desirous of awarding the
bid for such portable diesel electric generator to the lowest
and best bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

ARTC'LE IT - Time for Be innin r and Comleting the Work
{ } The work to be performed under this contract,shall b�-, commenced
within five 5) calendar days after the, date speci.i=iad in the "Notice
to Proceed."
(b) The work shall be completed within calendar days after the
date specified in the "Notice to Proceed," with an extension of time
for completion equal to and time Lost due to cai_dses which could not
have been foreseen or which were beyond the control of the CONTRACTOR
and which were not the result of his fault or negligence. .
(c) The CONTRACTOR shall notify the Engineer within two (2) days of any
occurrence which in the CONTRACTOR'r o inio;i entitles him to are
extension of time for completion. Such notice shall be in writing .
and submitted in ample time to permit full investigation and eval-
uation of the CONTRACTOR'S claim,
ARTICLE TTT - The Contract Sum

(a) The CITY shall pay to the CONTRACTOR for the pe:: formance of the con-
tract, the lump sum amount as follows:

b The lump sum price shall be equitably adjusted :o cover changes in
the work orderd by the Engineer but: not requi.re,i by the Specifica-
tions. Such increases or decreases in the Lurffp Sum Price shall be
determined by agreement between the CTTI or the Engineer, as its
representative, and the CONTRACTOR.
' ARTICLE 7:V - Acceptance and Paent
(a) Upon receipt of written notice that the work is ready for final
inspection and acceptaxr e, the Engineer will promptly make:, such
inspection and when he finds the work acceptable under th:- Contract
and the Contract fully performed, he will prompcl.y issue :i final
certificate, over his own signature, stating that the worl� required
by this Contract has been completed and is accepted by him under
the terms and conditions thereof, and the entire balance 'ue the
Contractor shall be paid to the Contractor by the City wi.:hin
.thirty (30) days after th,2 date of said final certificate.
(b) Tl�e Contractor shall guarantee the work against poor, workmanship
and/or faulty materials f,)r a period of twelve '12) month:; after,

FUEL SYSTEM —Side mounted injection pump with steel injection
lines to pintle nozzles. Primary fuel feed pump is operated
by engine camshaft. Three stage fuel filter is provided to in-
sure clean fuel supply.
COOLING —Liquid -cooled with large radiator and blower type
fan. Thermostat and by-pass assist in fast warm-up and
maintain proper jacket temperatures. Belt driven centrifugal
pump. High water temperature cutout. Radiator capacity 24
quarts.
