CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. , I s7
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS TO INSTAL TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICES AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF 31ST AVENUE
AND COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD, UNIVERSITY DRIVE
AND 57th STREET, AND UNIVERSITY DRIVE AND
MCNAB ROAD: AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
THE PAYMENT OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Broward
County, Florida, has indicated that they will instal traffic
control devices at the intersections of 31st Avenue and
Commercial Boulevard, University Drive and 57th Street, and
University Drive and McNab Road, with the cost of materials
only to be paid by the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has indicated
the traffic conditions at such intersections urgently require
the installation of such devices, and a traffic study made by
Broward County has established the necessity of such devices,
and
WHEREAS, the entire intersections are within the municipal
boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, there will be sufficient funds in Account No.
466.63 of the 1973-74 Fiscal Year Budget from which to pay
for such devices and such budget has been approved and adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Board of County Commissioners,
Broward County, Florida, be and they are hereby authorized to
instal traffic control devices at the intersections of 31st
Avenue and Commercial Boulevard, University Drive and 57th
Street, and University Drive and McNab Road.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to pay Broward County for the City's share of the
costs of such installation, within the budget limitations of
the City.
