RESOLUTION NO. -
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL BOND ELECTION TO AUTHORIZE
$300,000.00 IN GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
FOR THE ACQUISITION, EQUIPPING AND IMPROVEMENT
OF A CITY HALL SITE AND BUILDINGS.
WHEREAS, a Special Bond election was held on
February 27 1973 for the approval of the issuance of
"bonds of the City of Tamarac in the amount of
$300,000.00, bearing interest at the rate of
7.1/2% per annum (or such lesser rate or rates
as the City Council may fix upon the sale thereof),
to run for a period of not more than 20 years
from the date thereof, for the purpose of acquiring
through purchase or construction or both, and
improving a City Hall, including a site and
furnishings and equipment, therefore, which
bonds shall constitute full general obligations
of the City and be payable from such taxes as
shall be necessary for the payment of interest
upon, as well as final payment of said bonds,
to be levied on all property in the City
taxable for such purpose."
and,
WHEREAS the City Council has canvassed the results of the
machine voting as certified by the election clerks and the
absentee ballots, and
WHEREAS the result of the election was :
For the bond issue: 1217 votes
Against the bond issue: 1851 votes
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the bond issue was defeated.

ADOPTED, AND APPROVED
