RESOLUTION N0.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE
REFERENDUM ON AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY
COUNCIL TO EXPEND FUNDS FROM DEVELOPERS'
CONTRIBUTION RECREATION AND PARKS FUND
FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council had a referendum election
on approval of making expenditures from the Developers'
Contribution Recreation and Parks Fund for Public
Improvements, pursuant to Section 115 of the Charter of
the City of Tamarac on 27th February 1973, and
WHEREAS the City Council has canvassed the results
of the machine voting as certified by the election clerks
and the absentee ballots, and
WHEREAS the result of the following question on
the ballot:
"SHALL THE CITY HAVE AUTHORITY UNTIL THE GENERAL
ELECTION IN 1974 TO EXPEND FUNDS FROM THE
DEVELOPERS' CONTRIBUTION RECREATION AND PARKS
FUND, WITHOUT USING ANY TAX FUNDS, TO ACQUIRE
LAND FOR PARKS AND TO IMPROVE SUCH PARKS?"
"Yes" votes 1180
"No" votes: 1704
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of
the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the referendum was defeated.
PASSED, ADOPTED, and APPROVED this day of ,ti---f1973.
