CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF TAMARAC TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR MULTI -CITY PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE AND OTHER PETROLEUM PRODUCTS THROUGH
THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDER-
DALE; AND AUTHORIZING SUCH PURCHASING AGENT
TO AWARD THE CONTRACT TO THE LOW BIDDER.
WHEREAS, various cities in Broward County have joined together
to obtain bids and contracts for the purchase of gasoline and petroleum
products, resulting in advantageous bids, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is desirous of taking advantage
of the opportunity to obtain a favorable contract for the purchase
of such products in such manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City
of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials be and they are
hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of gasoline
and other petroleum products under a multi -city contract, with bids
to be presented to the purchasing agent of the City of Fort Lauderdale
on behalf of all of the participating cities.
SECTION 2: -That the purchasing agent of the City of Fort
Lauderdale be and he is hereby authorized to screen the bads and to
award the contract to the low bidder on behalf of the City of Tamarac.
