RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CERTIFIED
RESULTS
BY THE ELECTION BOARD PERTAINING TO THE
AMEND-
MENTS VOTED UPON AT THE GENERAL ELECTION IN
TA VIARAC ON FEB RUARY 272, 1973
WHEREAS, a general election was held
on February 27,
1973, for the election of one Council member to
fill the vacancy
in District One and one Council member to fill
the vacancy in
District Three, and
WHEREAS, the results of that election
were approved by
the City Council in the form of Resolution #73-12
on February 28,
19733, declaring E. M. LANGE the duly elected Council
member for
District One and A. V. SOCKER the duly elected
Council member for
District Three., and
WHEREAS, it was established that E. M. LANGE received the
greater number of votes and it was approved in Resolution #73-12,
passed by the City Council at its meeting on February 28, 1973,
declaring her the Vice Mayor for a periodof one year, and
WHEREAS, the voting in said election for the filling of
five vacancies on the Charter Board was approved by the City Council
by Resolution #73-13 on February 28, 1973, declaring the duly
elected members of the Charter Board as being AL E. GREENE, VICKIE
BEECH, DANIEL POWERS, W. OWEN BANGERT, BERNARD DORCHIMONT, and
WHEREAS, the voting in said election on February 271, C.A
1973, on the question of the Special, Bond election to authorize 4%.
$300,000.00 in general obligation bonds for the acquisition,
equipping and improvement of a City Hall site and buildings was
approved by the City Council by Resolution #73-14 dated February 2F
1973, declaring the bond issue question was defeated, and
WHEREAS, the voting in said election on February 27, 1973,
on the authorization £ot the City Council to expend funds from the
Developers' Contribution Recreation and Parks Fund for public
improvements was approved by the City Council by Resolution #73-15

dated February 28, 1973, declaring the referendum was defeated, and
WHEREAS, the voting in said election on February 27,
1973, on the question of City Council'Amendment #32 (Ordinance
#11-17, was approved by the City Council by Resolution #73-•11
dated February 28, 1973, declaring the amendment was approved, and.
WHEREAS, the results of the machine balloting and the
absentee voting as approved by the Election Board and its clerks
were recorded in Broward County Court of Record on March 9, 1973, and
WHEREAS, Resolution #73-11 (although not Ordinance #73-27)
was record in Broward County Court of Record on March 9, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the Election Board, in conjunction with three
members of the Charter Board and two original scriveners of the
Charter did at the request of the City Attorney meet and did agree
that it is their contention that certain amendments have in their
opinion been approved by the voting recorded in the February 27,
1973, election, and
WHEREAS, the Election Board has so certified and has recorded
its findings in the Broward County Court of Record on March 14, 1973.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
of the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the following amendments are declared
to be passed and to be part of the City Charter of the City of
Tamarac, Florida:

Resolution #73-11
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with
the Broward County Court of Record a certified copy of each of the
above amendments along with a certified copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 3: When Section 2, above, has been complied with,
the City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the Secretary of
State in Tallahassee a certified copy of each of the amendments as
well as a certified copy of this Resolution and a certified copy
of the Certificate from the Election Board, as required by Florida
Statute 116.13.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk is directed to attach to the
CAD
present Charter a copy of each of the new amendments..
SECTION 5: The City Clerk is directed to send to the
Codifier of the City's laws a copy of each of the amendments along
with a copy of this Resolution for inclusion in the codified Charter.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk is directed to prepare sufficient.
copies of the amendments for distribution at a nominal cost when
these amendments have been recorded.
