RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OPPOSING ANNEXATION BY THE
CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE OF THAT PORTION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC LOCATED EAST OF
U.S. 441
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Lauderdale has proposed that all of
the land in the City of Tamarac lying east of U.S. 441 be annexed by
the City of Fort Lauderdale, and presented said proposal to the Broward
County Legislative Delegation, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to oppose
such annexation of land lying within the City of Tamarac by the City
of Fart Lauderdale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL
of the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Tamarac
vigorously opposed annexation of the portion of the City of Tamarac
lying east of U.S. 441, by the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
SECTION 2: The City Council especially urges the Broward
County Legislative Delegation to oppose the annexation plan of the
City of Fort Lauderdale as to that portion of the City of Tamarac
lying east of U.S. 441.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution be furnished to each and
every member of the Broward County Legislative Delegation.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day
of 1973.

TO: THE BROWARD COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION
THE UNDERSIGNED, duly elected voters of the City of
Tamarac, Florida, having learned of a proposal by the City of
Fort Lauderdale to annex the land within the City of Tamarac
located east of U.S. 441, and, further, the undersigned duly
registered electors of the City of Tamarac, Florida, being whole-
heartedly opposed to the annexation by the City of Fort Lauderdale
of any lands presently within the City of Tamarac, Florida, do
hereby urge you, the members of the Broward County Legislative
Delegation, to vote against, and vigorously oppose the annexation
of lands presently within the boundaries of the City of Tamarac,
by the City of Fort Lauderdale.
