RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT THE CORAL GABLES
FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN BE DESIGNATED AS
AN ADDITIONAL DEPOSITORY FOR CITY FUNDS AND
THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE AUTHORIZED TO
TRANSFER FUNDS OF THE CITY TO SUCH ACCOUNTS
AS HE MAY ESTABLISH IN SUCH DEPOSITORY.
WHEREAS, the Coral Gables Federal Savings and Loan
has recently opened for business within the City of Tamarac
a short distance from City Hall, and
WHEREAS, the Council has been advised that substantial
time could be saved by transferring some funds from the
United Federal Savings and Loan Association of Broward
County to Coral Gables Federal Savings and Loan Association
and the Council deems it wise and expedient to authorize
the City Manager to arrange for such transfer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Coral Gables Federal Savings and
Loan Association be and is hereby designated as an official
City Depository in addition to the Peoples Bank of Broward
County in accordance with Section 99 of the City Charter
and the laws of the State of Florida.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to open such accounts as he deems necessary and expedient
in the Coral Gables Federal Savings and Loan Association
and to close the account heretofore established in the
United Federal Savings and Loan Association of Broward
County.
SECTION 3: That the appropriate bank officials at
the Coral Gables Federal Savings and Loan Association be
supplied with certified copies of this Resolution.
