CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL BOND ELECTION
TO AUTHORIZE $1,000,000.00 IN GENERAL OBLIGA-
TION BONDS FOR THE ACQUISITION, EQUIPPING AND
IMPROVEMENT OF THE 6000 COMPLEX AS A CITY HALL
SITE AND BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that there is
a need for the acquisition of a City Hall, including a site,
improvements, furnishings and equipment, and
WHEREAS, Leadership Housing, Inc. has offered to sell
the 6000 Complex, consisting of approximately eight acres, to the
City at a price of $600,000.00 and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of purchasing the
6000 Complex and developing said 6000 Complex as a City Hall facil-
ity, including police station, fire station and courtroom -meeting
hall, and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that a general obli-
gation bond issue is the most feasible way in which to finance the
acquisition of the 6000 Complex and provide for the improvement,'
furnishing and equipment of the 6000 Complex as a City Hall facility,
including police station, fire station, and courtroom -meeting hall,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That a special bond election be held pursuant
to the requirements of the City Charter and the Constitution and
laws of the State of Florida, such election to be held in and for
said City ^from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the o'er day of
1973, at which the following proposition will
be submitted to the qualified electors residing in said City, whether
freeholders or not, and who shall be at lea-st 18 years of age on the
date of said election:
Proposition for the issuance of bonds of the
City of Tamarac in the amount of $1,000,000.00
bearing interest at the rate of IQ _ per cent
per annum (or such lesser rate or rates as the
City Council may fix upon the sale thereof),
to run for a period of not more than ag2
years from the date thereof, for the purpose of
acquiring the 6000 Complex consisting of approx-
imately eight acres from Leadership Housing, Inc.
at a price of $600,000.00 and improving the site
as a City Hall facility, including a police station,
fire station, and court room -meeting hall, including
all furnishings and necessary equipment therefor,
which bond shall constitute full general obligations
of the City and be payable from such taxes as shall
be necessary for the payment of interest upon, as
well as final payment of said bonds, to be levied
on all property in the City taxable for such purpose.
SECTION 2: That notice of this election shall forth-
with be published and posted in the form attached hereto and
marked Exhibit "A" in accordance with the requirements of the
City Charter and of the State Election Laws.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOND ELECTION

CITY OF TAMARAC
Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to Resolutions
adopted by the Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, a special
election has been called and ordered held in and for said City from
7:00 a.m, until 7:00 p.m. on the 1,2"12�'_ day of 1973,
at which the following proposition will be submitted to the qualified
electors residing in said City, whether freeholders or not, and
who shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age on the date of
said election:
Proposition for the issuance of bonds of the City
of Tamarac in the amount of $1,000,000 bearing
interest at the rate of _ IQ percent per annum
(or such lesser rate or rates as the City Council
may fix upon the sale thereof), to run for a
period of not more than Qtj, years from the
date thereof, for the purpose of acquiring the
6000 Complex consisting of approximately eight
acres from Leadership Housing, Inc. at a price
of $600,000.00 and improving the site as a City
Hall facility, including a police station, fire
station and courtroom -meeting hall, including

All qualified electors of the said City whose names
appear on the registration book used by the City, residing in
said City may vote at said special bond election. The books
of registered voters who may vote at said special election
are maintained by the Supervisor of Elections of Broward
County. Lists may be made of qualified electors of said City
whose names appear on said registration books.
This notice is given pursuant to the resolution
adopted by said Council.
