RESOLUTION NO./0 Z
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING PREFERENCE OF TAMARAC
FOR A CENTRAL AGENCY IN BROWARD COUNTY FOR
DESIGNATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
FLORIDA IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 12G, PAGES
25681-25683, VOL. 38, No. 178, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER
14, 1973. SUCH AGENCY, UPON DESIGNATION, TO BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND COORDINATION
OF DEVELOPMENT OF A WATER QUALITY AND MANAGEMENT
PLAN AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 208, PUBLIC LAW 92-500.
WHEREAS, the Broward County Area Planning Board has been asked
by Governor Askew to hold a public meeting with units of general
purpose government and other public agencies in Broward County to
solicit their preference for designation of a single agency to
carry out certain provisions of federal law, and
WHEREAS, such a meeting was held on March 11, 1974, at the
Broward County Courthouse, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has been requested by the Governor,
through the Broward County Area Planning Board, to state a preference
by formal resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Broward County Area Planning Board is considered
by this City as best qualified to represent all citizens in Broward
County in accordance with the guidelines furnished by the Environmental
