RESOLUTION NO. U,
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING AN AD
VALOREM TAX TO FUND THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET y
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 12 1974.
WHEREAS, The Charter of the City of Tamarac and State Law provide
procedures for the preparation and adopting of a budget and ad valorema

taxes or millage upon taxable property within the City of Tamarac, and

WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented a budget message and rec- ..

ommended annual General Fund budget and a Utility Fund budget to the
Council for the ensuing fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974, and
WHEREAS, heretofore the Council has received said budget message and
recommended annual budgets for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974,
and has advertised the summary thereof, has advertised and held a
public hearingsthereon, and
WHEREAS, the public has had available to them copies of such budgets
and the opportunity to express themselves thereon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after duly advertising
public hearings on the budget and on the Ad Valorem Tax Millage that a
tax of 2.083 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation is necessary for
the operation of the City during the coming fiscal year..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund budget of estimated
expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974, as
amended, and the Utility Fund budget have been adopted and approved by the
Council of the City of Tamarac as the budgets of the City of Tamarac for the m-n

SECTION 2: That in accordance with the needs and
requirements for the estimated operation for the fiscal year
October 1, 1974, there is hereby levied upon all taxable real
and personal property in the City of Tamarac, except that
property exempted under the Constitution and other laws of the
State of Florida, a tax of 2.083 mills on each dollar of assessed
valuation, for the year beginning January 1, 1974, and ending
December 31, 19742 for the benefit of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk has certified the annual
General Fund budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
1974, and the taxes set herein upon taxable property within
the corporate limits of the City.in the amount of 2.083 mills
on each dollar of assessed valuation for the year beginning
January 1, 1974, and ending December 313, 1974. Furthermore,
the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to forward
to the tax collector of Broward County acting as the tax
collector for the City of Tamarac a certified copy of this
resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
instructed to certify to the Board of County Commissioners of
Broward"County the millage rate hereby established and adopted.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
instructed to forward to the tax assessor of Broward County
a certified copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
instructed to forward to the Comptroller of the State of Florida
a certified copy of this Resolution.

SECTION 7: The City Clerk is authorized and instructed m-1
to keep a certified copy of this Resolution and tax levy provided =

SECTION 8: The City Clerk is hereby instructed
to reproduce sufficient copi-es of this budget so that same will
be available for the use of all officers, departments and
agencies and for the use of interested persons and civic
organizations during the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974.
