A RESOLUTION FURTHER DEFINING THE
DUTIES OF THE CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION
AS SET FORTH IN RESOLUTION 75--78
PROVIDING FOR SPECIFIC AUTHORITY
FOR THE CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION TO
CONTINUE ITS WORK INCLUDING AUTHORITY
TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS REGARDING
PROPOSED CHARTER REVISION DOCUMENTS
SUBMITTED TO THE CITY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission has concluded its
draft of a revised City Charter for submission to the City Council
and to the Charter Board, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac is
desirous that the said Charter Revision Committee continue its
work concerning the proposed draft to include authority to hold
Public Hearings wherein interested citizens or Civic organizations
may be heard regarding the proposals contained therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
SECTION 1: The Charter Review Commission created pursuant
to Resolution 75-78 is granted specific authority to continue
deliberations concerning that draft of a proposed revised Charter
to include, but not limited to, holding all such Public Hearings
as the Commission may deem fit so as to allow interested citizens
and citizen groups to offer suggestions or ask questions
regarding the proposals contained in said Charter.
SECTION 2: At the conclusion of said Public Hearings, or
shortly thereafter, the Charter Review Commission shall be
responsible for submitting a final draft of a proposed revised
Charter to the City Council and to the Charter Board of the
City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall go into effect immediately
upon its final passage.
