CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. =ts
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING A SPECIAL
CENSUS.
WHEREAS, members of the City Council have been made aware
of the necessity of obtaining an accurate census inasmuch as Revenue
Sharing funds are based upon the number of inhabitants of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council upon information and belief is of
the opinion that the census figures used presently for Revenue Sharing
are inaccurate and do not correctly reflect the population of the
City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of obtaining additional
Revenue Sharing funds to be used for the benefit of its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The Mayor and the City Manager are hereby auth-
orized to enter into an Agreement for the taking of a Special Census,
the cost of which shall not exceed those amounts indicated pursuant
to the fee schedule published in Volume 15, Code of Federal Regulations,
Part 50.10.
SECTION 2: In the event there are no funds appropriated in
the budget for this purpose the City Manager is hereby instructed to
prepare an amendment to the budget to allow for such an expenditure.
