CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION REFERENDUM ON AMENDMENT
TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
WHEREAS, a general election was held on March 4, 1975
for the purpose of a referendum on Amendments to the Charter of
the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has accepted the results of
the Votomatic voting and ahzentee ballots as certified by the
Election Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section
166.031, the following amendment is declared to have failed:
"SECTION 26 of ARTICLE V of the Charter of the City of
Tamarac is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 26. SPECIAL MEETINGS
Any three (3) members of the City Council may call
a special meeting of the Council, only when an emergency
arises
.A upon at least twelve (12) hours written notice
to each Councilman, the Manager, the City Clerk, the
Mayor and the City Attorney, served personally, or left at
his usual place of residence and such notice shall be
posted in a conspicuous place in City Hall. The notice
shall state the emergency and the subjects to be con-
sidered at each such meeting and no other subject shall
be considered at that meeting. Special meetings shall
conform to all requirements of regular meetings.
