CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.�'�, _
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION REFERENDUM ON AMENDMENT
TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
WHEREAS, a general election was held on March 4, 1975
for the purpose of a referendum on Amendments to the Charter of
the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS,the City Council has accepted the results of
the Votomatic voting and absentee ballots as certified by the
Election Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, PE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section
166.031, the following amendment is declared to have failed:
"SECTION 70 of ARTICLE XI, of the Charter of the City of
Tamarac is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 70. CANDIDATES
Any resident of the City who is a registered
elector in Broward County, may be a candidate for the office
of Mayor, and any resident of the City who is a registered
elector in Broward County and resides within the territor-
ial boundaries of a District, may be a candidate for the
office of Councilman for that District, by filing a verified
notice of candidacy with the Eity-C-erk Election Board,
not more than si::ty (60) days and not less than fifteen
(15) days before any primary election, in the manner here-
after set out, and by paying as a qualifying fee the sum
of Ten ($10.00) Dollars to the City of Tamarac at such
time, which money shall be used for the purpose of de-
fraying election expenses of the City. Such notice shall
be in the following form, to -wit:

Iresiding at
Broward County, Florida,
do hereby give notice of my candidacy for the office of
of the City of Tamarac,Florida,
in the forthcoming primary election to be held in the City
on I do further state that I am
a bonafide citizen of the United States of America, a
registered voter in Broward County, and a resident of the
City of Tamarac; that I am not a member of the eemmunist
Pasty-ar-any-ethic-sb�rere}tee-getup any g2nu2or organ-
ization that advocates the overthrow of the United States
Constitution by force; that I am over the age of twenty-
ene-tit)ei hteen (18); that I have paid the qualifying
fee for said office;that my resident address is within
the boundaries required for the office sought; that I will
uphold the provisions of the City Charter; and that I
possess all the qualifications and have fully satisfied
all conditions precedent to such candidacy, pursuant to
the provisions of the Charter of said City.

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, this
day personally appeared ,who
upon being first duly sworn deposes and says that
he is the candidate referred to in the foregoing
notice; that he is familiar with the contents of
said notice and that the facts and matters there-
in stated are true and that he did sign said
notice for the purpose therein specified.

Such person so filing said notice as prescribed,
and paying the qualifying fee as prescribed, if otherwise
found to be qualified, shall be entitled to have his name
printed in alphabetical order upon the ballot at such primary
election; and in the event a primary election is unnecessary
for any office, then such person filing said notice as aforesaid
shall be entitled to have his name printed in alphabetical
order upon the ballot to be used at the general election.
