CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION REFERENDUM ON AMENDMENT
TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
WHEREAS, a general election was held on March 4, 1975,
for the purpose of a referendum on Amendments to the Charter
of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has accepted the results of
the Votomatic voting and absentee ballots as certified by the
Election Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section
166.031, the following amendment is declared to have failed:
"SECTION 100 of ARTICLE XIV of the Charter of the City
of Tamarac shall be amended to add thereto a subsection
(b) which shall read as follows:

Whenever the expenditure of public funds are involved
no contract or commitment obligating the-exj2enditure of
Fifty Thousand 50 000.00 Dollars or more for the
ac uisition of property shall become binding on the City
unless or until the question - "shall a contract obligating
the City in the amount of if - and
describing in brief the contents of said contract shall
have been submitted to a vote of theualified electors.
The vote ma be taken at a regular or special election
called for the purpose. If fifty per cent 50%plus one.(1)
of the electors voting on the issue shall vote aye, then
the administration is authorized to proceed to execute said
contract. If fifty per cent 50%plus one l of the
electors voting on the issue not vote a e then the admini-
stration shall notroceed with said contract."
