CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF CERTAIN
INDIVIDUALS PURSUANT TO COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT
AND TRAINING ACT (CETA) UNDER TITLE II AND TITLE VI.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, did apply under
CETA II and did obtain $40,943.73 and did apply under CETA VI
and did obtain $142,100.0,0, and
WHEREAS, altho positions created and paid for pursuant
to the Grant shall not be paid out of the present City Budget,
the City Council is nevertheless desirous of reflecting an
authorization to hire individuals all in accordance with the
terms of said Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA.
SECTION l: The following named positions having been
created pursuant to the receipt of Grant moneys under CETA II:
3 Patrolmen
4 Public Works men
1 Accountant
and the following named positions having been created pursuant
to the receipt of Grant moneys under CETA VI
8 Public Safety Officers
6 Public Works men
are hereby created all in accordance with the terms and
conditions set forth in the aforesaid Grants.
SECTION 2: This Resolution is adopted in order that
the City Manager may proceed with the hiring of those individuals
who qualify for said positions, all in accordance with the terms
of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA)-, Title II
and Title VI. A
