CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 7,5-- ,5-�7
A RESOLTUION AFFIRMING AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
BY AUTHORITY OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 AS AMENDED
IN MARCH 1972.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, by
authority of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended in March,
1972, to include state and local governments, declares that:
WHEREAS, in all matters relating to the employment of its personnel,
this City shall, from this date, act only in a manner which reflects complete
commitment to the postualte that; women, the physically handicapped, and minority
group members, shall not be denied opportunities for employment at all levels of
responsibility with the City.
IT SHALL be the City's position indeed, to seek out qualified members
of the aforementioned groups and encourage their preparation for their entry into
such positions at all levels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: This pronouncement is intended to convey the intent of
the governing body of this City;
FURTHER, this body, by its Affirmative Action Plan, working

by and through its Affirmative Action Officer, shall continuously direct its attention
at the results of the intent, and will act with dispatch to insure that the tenets of
this policy statement are implemented and accomplished.
SECTION 2: The City Council charges itself with the responsibility for
the effectiveness of this pronouncement.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.qA
