CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 75-6
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE BROWARD COUNTY POLICE BENEVOLENT
ASSOCIATION TO ACT AS BARGAINING AGENT FOR THE APPROPRIATE
TAMARAC PATROLMEN AND SERGEANTS.
WHEREAS, the Broward County P. B. A. has requested that they be
appointed as sole bargaining agent for the Tamarac patrolmen and sergeants
who have signed affidavits of authorization, and a majority of said Tamarac
Patrolmen and Sergeants did by secret ballot elect to retain said P. B. A.
as sole bargaining agent.
WHEREAS, the City Council has examined the qualifications of the
Broward County Police Benevolent Association and is satisfied that they qualify
as bargaining agent under the law as required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC , FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Broward County Police Benevolent Association be,
and they are hereby recognized as sole bargaining agent for the aforestated Tamarac
patrolmen and sergeants.
SECTION 2: That said recognition shall exist for an indefinite period of time at
the pleasure of the City Council.
