CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.�
A RESOLUTION CREATING A CHARTER
REVIEW COMMISSION; PROVIDING
MEMBERS ON SAID COMMISSION; PRO-
VIDING DUTIES; PROVIDING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
Florida believes it in the best interest of the City of Tamarac
to evaluate the present City Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
Florida is desirous of appointing an independent body of citizens
and representatives from the City Council and the Charter Board;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is further desirous of grant-
ing to said body the authority to make recommendations for amend-
ment or deletion of any or all portions of the present City Charter
of the City of Tamarac, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That there is hereby created a Charter Review
Commission that shall be in existence for a period of one year,
or until such time as its work defined hereunder shall be accomplish-
ed, whichever shall first occur.
SECTION 2: That the Charter Review Commission shall
consist of three (3) representatives who are citizens of the City
of Tamarac, Florida and who hold no elective or appointed office,
two (2) representatives from the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
Florida and two (2) representatives from the Charter Board of the
City of Tamarac, Florida.
SECTION 3: The Charter Review Commission shall establish
rules and regulations by which it shall conduct its business, shall
hold public hearings, shall elect from among its members a chairman,
shall keep regular minutes of its proceedings, and further, shall
