CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. —
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING FEBRUARY 14th
THROUGH FEBRUARY 21st, 1976, AS TAMARAC
FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE WEEK; PROCLAIMING
FEBRUARY 21st, 1976, AS TAMARAC FRATERNAL
ORDER OF POLICE DAY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lodge of Fraternal Order of Police
Associates has requested that the City Council declare the week
of February 14th through February 21st, 1976, Tamarac Fraternal
Order of Police Week, and Saturday, February 21st, 1976, as
Tamarac Fraternal Order of Police Day, in recognition of all
Tamarac Police Officers who are sworn and committed to insure
safety and the public welfare, and who, by their efforts, have
reduced the crime rate in Tamarac, although the national crime
rate has risen 1$1/o, and
WHEREAS,
the City Council
of. the City of Tamarac, Florida,
deems it
fit
and appropriate to
grant the request of the Tamarac
Lodge of
the
Fraternal Order of
Police Associates, by designating
February
14th
through February
21st, 1976, as Tamarac Fraternal
Order of
Police
Week, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
desires to grant the request of the Tamarac Lodge of the Fraternal
Order of Police Associates, that Saturday, February 21st, 1976,
be specifically designated as Tamarac Fraternal Order of Police
Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That the week of February 14th through February
21st, 1976, is officially proclaimed as Tamarac Fraternal Order
Of Police Week. The citizens of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
are urged to participate and take advantage of the educational
programs to be held during this period, sponsored by the Tamarac
Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates, in cooperation
with the Police and Public Safety Departments of Tamarac.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
Florida, officially declares the observance of Tamarac Fraternal
Order of Police Day, on Saturday, February 21st, 1976, in recogni-
tion of all Tamarac Police Officers who are sworn and committed
to insure safety and the public welfare, and who, by their efforts,
have reduced the crime rate in Tamarac, although the national crime
rate has risen 1$0.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon this passage.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED this day of
