A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION VOTING ON THE
QUESTION OF A REVISED CHARTER PROPOSED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 76-4.
WHEREAS, a general election was held on March 9, 1976,
wherein the electorate was asked to vote on the question of
a revised Charter as proposed by City Ordinance No. 76-4, and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the
results of the machine voting and absentee ballots and has
certified such results to the Election Board of the City of
Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the Election Board has reviewed the certifica-
tion from the County Canvassing Board and has presented their
findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION_1: That the following is hereby certified and
declared to be the total number
rrnof votes cast for the adoption
of the Charter: i D')
SECTION 2: That the following is hereby certified and
declared to be the total number of votes cast against the
adoption of the Charter:
SECTION 3: That the Charter as proposed by Ordinance
76-4 is hereby certified and declared to have been adopted.
SECTION 4: That in accordance with Ordinance No. 76-4,
Section 14, ARTICLE XIV -
TRANSITION SCHEDULE - Section 14.04,
this Charter shall become
effective at noon
on March 15, 1976.
