CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 7- -
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY COUNCIL TO APPOINT
SEVEN REGULAR MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF SOCIAL
SERVICES AND TO APPOINT FIVE ALTERNATE MEMBERS
TO THE BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES: AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, City Council is desirous of appointing
seven (7) members to the Board of Social Services, and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to appoint five (5)
alternate members to the Board of Social Services.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION I: That DR. MILTON ANKER is hereby appointed
a member of the Board of Social Services for a term to expire
May 11, 1977.
SECTION 2: That MILTON KAPLAN is hereby appointed
a member of the Board of Social Services for a term to expire
May 11, 1977.
SECTION 3: That DAN POWERS is hereby appointed a
member of the Board of Social Services for a term to expire
May 11, 1977.
SECTION 4:
That MARION MESSINA is hereby appointed
a member of the Board of Social Services for a term to expire
May 11, 1977.
SECTION 5:
That DR. MAURICE ABBEY is hereby appointed
a member of the Board of Social Services for a term to expire
May 11, 1977.
SECTION 6: That DR. HERMAN WEISS is hereby appointed
a member of the Board of Social Services for a term to expire
May 11, 1977.
SECTION 7 : That (*See note page 2.) is hereby
appointed a member of the Board of Social Services for a term
to expire

SECTION 8: That the alternate members designated
by the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of
Tamarac shall serve for a period of one (1) year until May
11, 1977 and in the absence or inability of any regular member
of the said Board of Social Services to serve, said alternate
shall thereupon serve in the place of said regular member,
with all the powers and duties as are vested in said regular
member.
SECTION 9: That
(*See note page 2.)
are hereby appointed as alternate members of the Board of
Social Services of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 10:
This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this day of 1976.
