A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT NO. 76-6C-06(i) BETWEEN THE BROWARD MANPOWER COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF TAMARAC. WHEREAS, the Broward Manpower Council and the City of Tamarac have entered in Agreement No. 76-6C-06(i) to conduct a CETA Title VI public service employment program, and WHEREAS, the Broward Manpower Council and the City of Tamarac desire to amend Agreement No. 76-6C-06(i) in order to continue present funding levels during the fifth fiscal. quarter of 1976, using CETA Title II funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Tamarac, Florida, an amendment to Agreement No. 76-6C-06(i) in the amount of $103,157.65 between the City of Tamarac and the Broward Manpower Council, a copy of which is attached hereto as "EXHIBIT A". SECTION 2: That this amendment to the said agreement shall become effective July 1, 1976, and shall remain in force through the 30th day of September, 1976. The terms of Agreement No.76-6C-06 , as amended, are hereby incorporated into this Amendment by reference and all obligations thereunder are cr- Y to continue, except as modified by this Amendment, from the 1st day ofily 1976, through the 30th day of September 1976. 7' i 2. The Agent shall continue to conduct the same public service .� employment program as in Agreement No.76-6C-06 , as amended, utilizing the dame number of positions as agreed to in Agreement No.76-6C-06 as amended. Suct program shall now be governed by CETA Title 11 instead of Title VI, and the funding for such program shall come from CETA Title II funds instead of Title f VI funds. 3. This Amendment contemplates payment for services rendered by the Agent based on cost reimbursement by the BMC of acceptable expenses expended between the 1st day of July _ 1976, through the 30th day of September 1976, not to exceed the amount of S 103,157.65, .;:rich h3_ c:�r_�t ^irac3 b, �'_ti- 11, 1 plying the number of CETA public service employees requested in the agent's proposal by the amount of salary and fringe benefits so requested for the Amend-, s ment duration plus proposed and acceptable administrative Costs. This amount is in addition to the amount designated in Budget Summary attached to Agreement j No76-6C-06 , as amended. it is understood and agreed by the Agent that . t i; � 1; accrual funds from Agreement No - 76-6C-06 (i) are not to be considered carry-over funds for use by Agent during the Amendment period. Further, any and all acceptable expenses reimbursed to the Agent by the BMC must be allowable under ,Federal, State and local guidelines. 4. The Agent shall provide the BMC, on monthly basis, with proper 1 f, supporting documentation conforming to the requirements of CETA/BMC, a breakout 1. of the funds already expended under this Amendment for the provious month_ Such financial status reports will be required within ten (10) working days followinc�� f the end of each month. 5. Reimbursement by the BMC shall be made contingent upon receipt of: the monthly financial status report; upon receipt of such report, the BMC will i reimburse the Agent for the Expenses stated therein which are acceptable and i allowable. The cumulative amount paid on any given month shall not exceed the total amount to be spent in performance of this Amendment. 6. The Agent shall employ as CETA participants those persons residin i in Broward County who have been unemployed or underemployed for thirty,(30) day or longer. This requirement (of increased length of unemployment from ifteen (15) days to thirty (30) days) does not affect the eligibility of currdotly employed CETA participants. O 7.
