CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. -7 (c— C
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 7, 1976 THROUGH
NOVEMBER 13, 1976 AS TAMARAC FRATERNAL ORDER OF
POLICE AND FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE ASSOCIATES
WEEK; PROCLAIMING FEBRUARY 5, 1977 AS TAMARAC
FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE AND TAMARAC FRATERNAL
ORDER OF POLICE ASSOCIATES DAY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested to declare the
week of November 7, 1976 through November 13, 1976 as Tamarac
Fraternal Order of Police and Fraternal Order of Police Associates
Week; and Saturday, February 5, 1977 as Tamarac Fraternal Order of
Police and Fraternal Order of Police Associates Day, in recognition
of all Tamarac Police Officers who are sworn and committed to insure
safety and the public welfare; and in recognition of the public
spirited citizens who are interested in the welfare of the Tamarac
Police Officers and the citizens of our City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems
it fit and appropirate to grant the request by designating November
7, 1976 through November 13, 1976 as Tamarac Fraternal Order of
Police and Fraternal Order of Police Associates Week and Saturday,
February 5, 1977 as Tamarac Fraternal Order of Police and Fraternal
Order of Police Associates Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the week of November 7, 1976 through November 13, 1976
is officially proclaimed as Tamarac Fraternal Order of Police and
Fraternal Order of Police Associates Week. The citizens of the City
Tamarac, Florida are urged to participate and take advantage of the
educational programs to be held during this period, sponsored by
the Fraternal Order of Police and the Fraternal Order of Police
Associates.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac Florida
officially declares the observance of Tamarac Fraternal Order of Police
and Fraternal Order of Police Associates Day on Saturday, February
5, 1977 in recognition of all Tamarac Police Officers who are sworn
and committed to insure safety and the public welfare; and in

recognition of the public spirited citizens who are interested in the
welfare of the Tamarac Police Officers and the citizens of our City.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this l day of 1976.
