CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BROWARD OOUNTY DEPARTMENT
OF HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES TO ESTABLISH
SWINE FLU INOCULATION CENTERS IN EACH OF' SECTIONS
AND OONDOMINIUMS OF OUR CITY.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac, being aware of its
responsibility to promote the public health, welfare and safety of its
citizens, and
WHEREAS, the Council is most concerned with the Swine Flu inoculation
programs and the lack of sufficient centers for inoculations in our City, and
WHEREAS, the areas of our City east of 441 have not been given a
suitable location and centers east of 441 have been limited, and
WHEREAS, Tamarac represents a population which has a majority of
citizens aged 60 and over who find transportation to the centers represents a
hardship, and
WHEREAS, the waiting in line for an extended period of time is also
a hardship, and that such long intervals are not conducive to the health and
welfare of its citizens, and
WHEREAS, Tamarac has the unique availability of centers in each of
its 26 sections and major condominiums.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE OOINCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City calls upon the Broward County Department of
Health and Rehabilitative Services to establish centers of inoculation service
in each of these centers to particularly meet the needs of its citizens.
