CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. ?4 - 9 3
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE BROWARD
COUNTY BIKEWAY DEMONSTRATION PROJECT
AND PROVIDING FOR THE CITY'S PARTICI-
PATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
BIKEWAY SPUR.
WHEREAS, Broward County has proposed a Bikeway
Demonstration Project for University Drive from Sample
Road to Griffin Road to be funded by Federal and County
funds, and
WHEREAS, the Bikeway Demonstration Project provides
for the participation of the effected municipalities in the
construction of spurs or branches within their jurisdictions
at a possible cost of 20% of the total cost, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of supporting
the Broward County Bikeway Demonstration Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby supports the
Broward County Bikeway Demonstration Project along University
Drive from Sample Road to Griffin Road without any obligation
to the City for construction funds and maintenance costs for
that part of the bikeway within the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: The City Council wishes to participate
in the Bikeway Demonstration Project for the construction of
a spur or branch within the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: The City Council agrees to share in the
expense of the construction of a bikeway spur in the City of
Tamarac at a rate of 20% if necessary, of the total cost
providing funding is available.

SECTION 4: This resolution shall take effect
immediately.
