CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING AN
AD VALOREM TAX TO FUND THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1976.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Tamarac and State
Law provide procedures for the preparation and adoption of a
budget and ad valorem taxes or millage upon taxable property
within the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented a budget message
and recommended an annual General Fund budget to the Council for
the ensuing fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976, and
WHEREAS, heretofore the Council has received said budget
message and recommended an annual budget for the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1976, and has advertised the summary thereof,
has advertised and held public hearings thereon, and
WHEREAS, the public has had available to them copies of such
budgets and the opportunity to express themselves thereon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after duly adverti-
sing public hearings on the budget that a tax of 3.5596 mills on
each dollar of assessed valuation is necessary for the operation
of the City during the coming fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund budget of estimated
expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
1976, as amended, has been adopted and approved by the Council of
the City of Tamarac as the budget of the City of Tamarac for the
fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976.
SECTION 2: That in accordance with the needs and requirements
for the estimated operation for the fiscal year October 1, 1976,.
there is hereby levied upon all taxable real and personal property
in the City of Tamarac, except that property exempted under the Con-
stitution and other laws of the State of Florida, a tax of 3.5596
mills on each dollar of assessed valuation, for the year beginning
January 1, 1976, and ending December 31, 1976, for the benefit of

the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk has certified the annual General
Fund budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976, and
the taxes set therein upon taxable property within the corporate
limits of the City in the amount of 3.5596 mills on each dollar
of assessed valuation for the year beginning January 1, 1976,
and ending December 31, 1976. Furthermore, the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and instructed to forward to the tax collector
of Broward County acting as the tax collector for the City of
Tamarac a certified copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County
the millage rate hereby established and adopted.
SECTION 5: The City -Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to forward to the Comptroller of the State of Florida a certified
copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to forward to the Property Appraiser of Broward County a certified
copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: The City Clerk is authorized and instructed to
keep a certified copy of this Resolution and tax levy provided
for herein in the permanent files of the City of Tamarac.
