RESOLUTION NO.�
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SIDEWALK
SURVEY RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY
ENGINEER; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE TO
OWNERS TO CONSTRUCT SUCH SIDEWALKS
AND PROVIDING FOR PROCEDURES TO
REMEDY NON-COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH
NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a survey and reported
to the City Council the need for sidewalks along major roadways
in the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the Council deems it in the best interest of the
public health, safety and general welfare, to approve the report
of the City Engineer and direct the implementation of Section 23-24,
23-25 and 23-26 of the City of Tamarac Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the sidewalk survey prepared and recommended
by the City Engineer, which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit
"A", is hereby approved.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to implement the provisions of
Section 23-24 and 23-25 of the Tamarac City Code, which provides
for notice to direct the abutting property owners to forthwith
commence and within sixty (60) days after date of such notice,
complete the construction.
SECTION 3: That in accordance with Section 23-26 of the
Tamarac City Code, the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to cause such work to be done and make the cost thereof
a charge and lien against such property, of the same extent and
character as the lien now granted for special assessment for
the cost of local improvements.
