A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AN OFFER OF GRANT FROM THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF CDAEERCE .
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the City
to erect a f ire stat ion , and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Works Capital Development and Investment Act
of 1976, United States Department of Commerce has presented an offer of Grant
in the amount of $279,098 to provide assistance for the construction of a fire
stat ion , and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept said offer of Grant.
NOW1 ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and instructed
to execute said offer of Grant presented by the United States Department of
Commerce under the Local Public Works Cap it al Development and Investment Act
of 1976 in the amount of $279,098
for the purpose of providing financial
assistance for construction of a fire station.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its
adoption.
