CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. .1 j
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CERTAIN ANNEXATION OF
REAL PROPERTY THROUGH ACTION OF THE LEGISLATURE
OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac
did on the 8th day of December , 197 6, by motion of
said Council, support a proposed legislative enactment annex-
ing certain lands to the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS,
the
City Council of
the City
of
Tamarac
deems it appropriate
to
formalize such
report by
the
enactment
of this Resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:
The City
Council
of the City
of
Tamarac
does hereby indicate
its support
for the
annexation
of
certain
lands to the City of Tamarac by and through the action of the
legislature of the State of Florida, as evidenced by that
proposed Bill, attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become eff6ctive
immediately upon its final passage.

CHAPTER 77-655 LAWS OF FLORIDA CHAPTER 77-655
AN ACT relating to' the City of Tamarac, Broward County,
Florida; extending and enlarging the corporate limits
of the City of Tamarac by including previously
unincorporated lands with said corporate limits;
providing an effective date.
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8 Section 1. The present corporate limits of the City of Tamarac,
coward County, Florida, are hereby extended and enlarged so as to
E include, in addition to the territory presently within its corporate
limits, the following territories, to -wit:
(AnnexationParcel 4-77) The Homestead Territory:
That certain area of land currently 'not in the
corporate limits of the City of Tamarac which is
entirely contiguous to and surrounded by the existing
E city limits of Tamarac commencing at the centerline of
Rock Island Road and a portion -of the south boundary
line of The Mainlands of Tamarac Lakes (Section 6A), as
recorded in Plat Book 67, Page 30 then proceeding south
• along the centerline of Rock Island Road to a portion
of the north boundary of the Sabal Palm Golf Course,
# then commencing easterly along that portion of the
north boundary of the Sabal Palm Golf Course to a
portion of the west boundary Tine of the Sabal Palm
Golf Course, then commencing , northerly along the west
boundary of Sabal Palm Golf Course to a portion of the
south boundary of -The Mainlands of Tamarac Lakes
(Section 6A) plat, then commencing westerly along a
portion of the south boundary of that subdivision to
the centerline of Ronk Island Road.
Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 1978..
Became a law without the Governor's approval.
