CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION N0.
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE NEED FOR A
VETERANS' MEDICAL FACILITY WITHIN BROWARD
COUNTY.
WHEREAS, various veterans' organizations through-
out Broward County have expressed the need for a veterans'
medical facility within Broward County area; and
Dade County,
in Lantana,
WHEREAS ,
Florida;
there is a veterans' hospital in Miami,
and an out -patient medical facility
Palm Beach County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, there is no medical facility for veterans
within the Broward County area; and
WHEREAS, Broward County is one of the fastest
growing counties in the State of Florida with the largest
number of retiree veterans who have been in the service of the
United States.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Tamarac, Broward County, Florida:
SECTION 1: That based upon the need for a
veterans' medical facility in Broward County as expressed by
various veterans' organizations throughout the area, that the
Federal Government be urged to establish a medical facility for
veterans within Broward County.
SECTION 2:
That the President of the United
States as well as all Congressmen representing Broward County
be sent a copy of this Resolution by the City Clerk of the
