CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R Tl — 1& I
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ENDORSING
THE APPLICATION OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT
COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT ASSISTANCE FUND
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
recognized a need to provide for orderly growth and management
as contemplated by the passage of the Florida Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act, and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has recognized a need to
assist local governments in availing themselves of the benefit
of the Act, and
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has charged the Depart-
ment of Community Affairs with administering the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
requests the Department of Community Affairs to include the City
of Tamarac application among those requesting financial assistance
from the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance
Fund Program for 1977-1978, µ
SECTION 2: That the City Council of. the City of Tamarac
indicates
its commitment to
comply with
the
appropriate
and
applicable
state and local
laws, rules,
and
regulations
for the
administration of this program, including but not limited to,
necessary matching funds, funding only eligible planning activities,
etc., which are more fully described in Chapter 9B-5, F.A.C.
SECTION 3 : This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
