A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BROWARD COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INSTALL A
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE AT THE INTERSECTION
OF 47TH TERRACE AND COMMERCIAL BLVD. IN THE
CITY OF TAMARAC.
LEGISLATIVE FINDING OF FACT.
1. The
increased
flow
of
east/west traffic on
Commercial Blvd.
within the
City
of
Tamarac has created a
dangerous traffic hazard at the intersection of 47th Terrace
and Commercial Blvd., and
erat ion
2. A Traffic Control Signal has been under consid-
at that location for a number of years by Broward
County's Department of Transportation, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC:
SECTION 1: The Broward County Department of
Transportation, pursuant to an agreement with the City of Tamarac,
has undertaken and assumed the responsibility for the maintenance,
installation and regulation of traffic control devices.

Leadership Housing, Inc. has agreed to
pay up to $20,000.00 which is secured by a payment and Performance
Bond to the City of Tamarac for the installation of said light.
SECTION 3: The City Council
of the
City of
Tamarac
finds that the general health, safety and
welfare
of the
citizens
of Tamarac requires that a traffic control
signal
should
be in
