RESOLUTION NO, #
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF
FEBRUARY 27, 1977 THRU MARCH 5, 1977
AS BIG BROTHER AND BIG SISTER APPRECI-
ATION WEEK AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A MAYORAL PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Broward County is
a social service organization dedicated to service to children from
single parent families; and
WHEREAS, the over 250 volunteer Big Brothers and Sisters,
who come from all socio-economic backgrounds, give so generously
of their time and love as friends to their little brothers and
sisters; and
WHEREAS, the City- Council in behalf of ' the citizens of
Tamarac wishes to commend the Big Brothers and Sisters of Broward
County for the generous contribution they had made over the years.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC , FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Mayor be authorized to execute a
proclamation declaring the week of February 27, 1977 thru March 5,
1977 as Big Brothers and Big Sisters Appreciation Week.
