RESOLUTION N0, R-11.11'3(0
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ROAD IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT PROPOSED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS FOR COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD
FROM *THE "S -CURVE" TO N . W . 88th AVENUE,
WHEREAS, the population
of Broward
County, Florida,
and the
City has greatly exceeded the
capabilities
of certain
roadways
within the City which has thereby created a condition of intolerable
traffic congestion* and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has proposed a
road improvement project
for the
construction
of an extension
to Commercial Boulevard
from the
"S-Curve" to
Northwest 88th
Avenue to be paid for by
federal
grant monies,
and
WHEREAS,
the
City Council
of
Tamarac,
Florida,
desires to
place on record
its
approval of
this
road
improvement
project
of the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Tamarac, Florida, that:
SECTION 1: The City Council
of Tamarac finds and determines
that it
is necessary
for
the
public health,
safety and
welfare of
the residents
of the
City
and
Broward County
to improve
Commercial
Boulevard from
the "S-Curve"
to Northwest 88th
Avenue.
SECTION 2
: The
City Council of Tamarac,
Florida does hereby
place on record its approval of this road improvement project to
be funded by federal grant monies and constructed by Broward County.
SECTION 3 : This resolution shall take effect immediately.
