RESOLUTION NO.R7- r7`0
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF
FEBRUARY 20, 1977 AS CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION
ASSOCIATION OF BROWARD COUNTY WEEK IN
THE CITY OF TAMARAC; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Childbirth Education Association is an educational
organization conducting prenatal childbirth classes based on the
concepts of Family Centered Maternity Care, and
WHEREAS, Childbirth Education Association is a family
organization that assists the couple after childbirth in the
areas of postpartum and good parenting through lectures and
other , planning functions, and
WHEREAS, Childbirth Education Association is a community
organization that provides childbirth classes to parents attending
the Broward County Health Departments. This extension into the
community also includes a Speaker's Bureau and a Breastmilk Bank
for sick and/or premature infants, and
WHEREAS, Childbirth Education Association is a volunteer
organization, officially registered as non-profit with many
interested couples working towards goals of Family Centered
Maternity care.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1 : That the week of February 20, 1977 shall be
designated in honor of those volunteers and the success and
progress of the Childbirth Education Association of Broward County
as they celebrate their tenth anniversary.
