RESOLUTION NO. # ,�- 77
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER
BOARD, GROUP 1
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 8, 1977
wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose
three (3) candidates for the Charter Board Group 1, for the
City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the
results of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has
certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac,
TO
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings
to the City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration
of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following three (3) persons are hereby
certified to have received the highest number of votes in Group 1,
and are hereby declared to have been elected to the Charter Board,
for terms of two years each.
Anthony Silvestri with 3,206 votes.
William Feldman with 2,820 votes.
Arthur Charles with 2,341 votes.
SECTION 2: That Anthony Silvestri ,William Feldman.,
and Arthur Charles shall in accordance with: the'. provisions
of Section 8.01 of the City Charter assume their. office Non Tuesday
March 15, 1977.
