A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD
GROUP 2.
WHEREAS,
the General Election was
held on March
g,
1977,
wherein the
Electorate for the City of
Tamarac was
to
choose one
(1) candidate for the Charter Board Group 2, for the City of Tamarac
and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results
of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified
such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the
County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the City
Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARACI FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following person is hereby declared to
have received the highest number of votes in Group 2 and is hereby
declared to have been elected to the Charter Board, for a term of
one (1) year.
Irving Epstein with 3,260 votes.
SECTION 2: That Irving Epstein shall in accordance
with the provisions of Section 8.01 of the City Charter assume his
office on Tuesday, March 15, 1977.
