CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.R�j
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR FIRE
PROTECTION TO SUBDISTRICT 8 OF THE BROWARD
COUNTY. -FIRE CONTROL COMMISSION.
the existing fire protection agreement with subdistrict
8 of the Broward County Fire Control Commission expired on December
25, 1976, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of entering into a new
agreement in order to
insure the
continuation
of fire
protection
for the residents of
that part of
the City of
Tamarac
serviced by
said department for the next ensuing year beginning December 26,
1976, and
WHEREAS, the rates to be charged have been approved by the voters
of the subdistrict and the subdistrict is not permitted to charge
the City at lower rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:
That the .Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into an agreement for fire protection with
subdistrict 8 of the Broward County Fire Control Commission,
covering the period commencing December 26, 1976 thru December 251 1977,
copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A".
