CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1978 4-CITY
BOUNDARY REALIGNMENT PROGRAM, AND URGING
THE BROWARD COUNTY TO SUPPORT AND ACT
FAVORABLY ON THE PROPOSAL.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park,
Pompano Beach, Tamarac, and the Broward County Planning Department,
have held joint discussions regarding a proposed 4-City Boundary
Realignment Program for 1978, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac wishes to place on record its
endorsement of the Realignment Program, as reflected on the map
attached hereto, and marked Exhibit "A", and wishes to urge the
Broward County Legislative Delegation to support and introduce
a local bill to adopt the Realignment Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
hereby approves the 1978 4-City Boundary Realignment Program, which
is reflected on the map attached hereto, and marked Exhibit "A",
and further expresses its desire to annex those parcels enumerated
on Exhibit "A", being parcels #1 through V .
SECTION 2: The City Council has considered the potential
results of the proposed Realignment Plan, and deems such action to
be in the best cumulative public interest, and does therefore, urge
the Broward County Legislative Delegation to support and introduce
a local bill to adopt the Realignment Program.
