CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-78-123
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A FINDING OF
NECESSITY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A
PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS OVER UNIVERSITY DRIVE,
TO TAMARAC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. FINDING OF NECESSITY.
Many elementary school age children live within two miles
of and must walk to Tamarac Elementary School.
Many of those children must cross University Drive, a tre-
mendously busy roadway.
A pedestrian overpass will be of great benefit to the
health, safety and welfare of the children attending Tamarac
Elementary School since it will keep them off of University Drive
and will greatly reduce the risk of a vehicular catastrophe.
SECTION II. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded
to the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida.
SECTION III. This Resolution shall be effective immediate-
ly.
