CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R. 7,P- /LX
A RESOLUTION URGING THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
TO LIMIT ROUTES THROUGH THE CITY OF TAMARAC THAT
VEHICLES HAULING HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL MATERIALS
MAY TAKE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the Public Service)
Commission by H & H Liquid Sludge Disposal,'Inc., requesting a
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to haul certain
material to, from and in between all points and places in Dade,
Broward and Palm Beach Counties; and
WHEREAS, among the material sought in the Petition to be
handled is chemical waste and hazard chemical waste; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is primarily a residential com-
munity; and
WHEREAS, the Public Service Commission should limit strictly
those areas where such materials can be transported and such limi-
tation should prohibit transportation through or in close proximity
to residential areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That if the Public Service Commission grants
the application of H & H Liquid Sludge Disposal, Inc., the Certi-
ficate of Convenience and Necessity, it should specifically limit
the roads within the City of Tamarac over which hazardous chemical
materials may be transported to the Sunshine State Parkway and
State Road 7 (U.S. 441).
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately.
