A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF DECEM-
BER loth THROUGH DECEMBER 16th, 1978, AS
HUMAN RIGHTS WEEK, IN CONJUNCTION WITH, THE
30th ANNIVERSARY OF UNIVERSAL DECLARATION
OF HUMAN RIGHTS BY THE UNITED NATIONS.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Tamarac have in-
dicated their desire to protect human rights by dedicating their
efforts toward the true establishment of good human relations; and
WHEREAS, human rights and good human relations are the
result of preserving, protecting and perpetuating the rights of
each individual's freedom, dignity and pride.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Council does hereby authorize
the issuance of Mayoral Proclamations declaring the week of
December loth through December 16th, 1978, as Human Rights Week.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
